dicranumI hate that awkward phase where you start checking out a new fandom and you don't know the lingo, shorthand, and tropes for it yet. It makes it weird to search for things.
Also, after thinking about it, I have had to readapt to ST:TOS lingo probably three tines now over the past 23 years. Though I much prefer just hitting someone's rec list and clicking on a fic than the 1980s very long wait for a print fanzine you mailed out for from an underground fan connection you met at a comic shop!
